I am setting up the Chart of Accounts. How do you delete an account when it's been put in the wrong category?
Hi there. In Accounting, if you click on an account in the Chart of Accounts you will get the slide-out from the right and you will find the Delete button at the bottom of the slide-out. In Analyst, if you click on an account in the Chart of Accounts you can then click on the Delete button on the right hand side of the Chart of Accounts box. Note, there are some accounts that can't be deleted, and if you have entered an Opening Balance or created any transactions you can no longer delete the account. For those situations, you can only rename or renumber the account.
