Other than the memo field, which will allow you to enter notes relative to each specific line of the transaction, there is a notes button in the bottom left hand corner of the transaction entry window. It's a generic notes window tied to the transaction as a whole rather than a specific line of a transaction but that's probably the best place to put in any notes about any part of the transaction.
