What is the best way to deal with chemical deposits? Previously (in SAGE) I had them set up in an asset account. I thought I did the same thing here, but when I go to the transaction, that account won't come up..

Asset account is the correct way, and if you've set up the account then you should be able to access it using line type A+ when posting your withdrawal and A- when you need to apply the deposit against the expense.
