I would like to know how to add outstanding cheques from the previous year, so that I can reconcile my bank account. Thank you.

Kathleen, did you just set up a new file and this is the first month's bank reconciliation? If so, then your opening balance for the bank account will be the opening balance from the statement less the amount of the outstanding cheques.
