I'm trying to enter my equipment assets into Ag Analyst for the first time. I tried entering them through the setup/capital assets screen but when i save it and then look for it in the chart of accounts under the class I thought i entered it, I seemingly totally disappeared and i can find no trace of the entry. What am I doing wrong? I would Like to be able to see each piece of equipment in detail,not all lumped together as it would be if I just enter an opening balance. Thank you

This is a three step process:
Step 1: Add the capital assets through Setup > Capital Assets
Step 2: Add opening balances in the Accounts classes through Setup > Chart of Accounts
Step 3: Add opening Balances to each classes under CCA/Depreciation
I do not know why the opening balances did not stick under the Chart of accounts, but the only time the Addition of capital asset with affect the Chart of Accounts is when you do a purchase Capital Asset through a transaction.
